At the By SIDDE studio in Eerbeek, we meet Jenny. She is an interior designer and has a design studio in Zwolle. Her passion for interior design and everything to do with spaces comes alive in her versatile work. Find out how Jenny styled element banks Zev and Finn for a stylish interior!

Creative stylist in the interior design world

Jenny began her career in art school, where she was trained as a graphic designer. After a stint in education, where she taught typography, composition and color, she transitioned to her true passion: interior design. From small projects for family to consulting jobs in the schoolyard. Jenny decided to major in interior design. Now she offers various interior design packages, from small happiness to complete happiness.

Her clients consciously choose non-ordinary interiors, combining a quiet base with surprising color combinations. Jenny most enjoys puzzling with layouts, combining colors and materials, and creating a unique living style. She gets her inspiration from interior design magazines, fairs, Instagram and city trips.

“Keep challenging yourself to innovate.”

Back to basics in interior design

Every interior design begins with working out a functional layout. In doing so, she carefully maps walking routes and sight lines, then designs the ideal floor plan. Based on this, she creates a moodboard together with the client; she goes in search of inspiration, often using a card set compiled by Jenny full of inspiration images and interior design ideas. This is enlightening and helps to create a concrete plan. The design process frequently starts simply with paper, pencil and a fineliner to make the first sketches.

“Clients have complete trust in me, which I find really special.”

An element bench offers endless possibilities

In the studio in Eerbeek, Jenny styled By SIDDE's Zev and Finn element sofas. Sofa Zev shows how to make optimal use of a modular sofa with an island arrangement. The sofa offers flexibility: part of the family can watch television while the other reads a book. Jenny consciously chooses high-quality accessories, such as stylish cushions and an elegant vase, because these timeless items add sophistication and durability to the interior. She selected a different color scheme for the Finn modular sofa, but her style remains recognizable: a quiet base with pops of color as accents.

Tips from Jenny for stylish and timeless interiors

  • Get the basics right: choose the right flooring that makes you really happy, and clean plastered walls and ceilings.
  • Use all the light points in the ceiling: These are perfect for surface-mounted spotlights that you can dim, or pick an eye-catching pendant light.
  • Invest in timeless furniture, such as a good quality sofa; an element sofa offers flexibility and adapts effortlessly to your lifestyle.
  • Add personality with accessories, but beware of too much decoration. Rather, select a few eye-catching items.
  • Use a mood board: This allows you to visualize your ideas and create consistency. This will help you avoid a misbuy.

A well-appointed home is all about happiness and comfort. With jenny's tips and creative approach, create a house where you truly feel at home.
