Stepping into Brenda’s home feels like coming home. It's stylish, warm, and inviting. Together with her husband and two sons, she lives in a cosy terraced house where calmness, family life, and design come together effortlessly. The interior exudes a Scandinavian atmosphere with a timeless foundation and subtle details that bring warmth and personality.
Bold, Scandinavian and timeless
Brenda’s previous sofa was also a By SIDDE. And although it still looked great, she felt it was time for something new. This time, she went for the modular Finn sofa. A perfect match with her style, which she describes as Bold Scandinavian.
“The rounded shapes instantly appealed to me. We’ve had enough of all those sharp corners,” she laughs.
With its airy, playful design, the Finn brings a soft and inviting look to the living room. Even though Brenda rarely changes the layout, she loves having the freedom to do so whenever she wants.
When it came to choosing the colour, she hesitated between beige and grey. Beige had been on her wishlist for a while, but in the end, grey won: “It just fits best with our rug and the rest of the interior.”
Colour and accessories
Brenda admits she has a bit of a thing for vases and it shows! Her collection changes regularly, just like the cushions on her sofa. “I love playing around with bold cushions and new trends, especially with each new season,” she says. She draws inspiration from interior trends and the change of seasons, but calmness always remains the foundation.
While she admires colourful interiors in other people’s homes, she finds too much colour in her own space overwhelming. That’s when she quickly returns to her beloved neutral tones. The light flooring and abundant daylight make her home the perfect backdrop for her interior photos. All captured by herself with her camera.

Timeless design and eye-catching details
Besides her sofa, there are a few pieces Brenda could never do without: a beautiful cabinet, a striking lamp, and her absolute favourite, the String Furniture desk. Timeless pieces that draw attention and give her living room character.
Her home is the perfect example of how a calm base, thoughtful choices, and personal details can create a space that truly feels like home. A place where design and warmth meet, and that grows with you over time.
Future plans and dream home
Brenda is perfectly happy in her current home, but she secretly dreams of a house with a more unique layout. “Not a standard new-build, but something with real character,” she says. She carefully stores her accessories: ready to give them a special place if the chance to move ever comes along.
Interior tip
Brenda loves sharing her personal tips for anyone looking to refresh their living room: “Start with a neutral base and build from there. If you love colour, add it through accessories – they’re easy to switch up. Just experiment! Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Your style will naturally evolve over time.”
