Peeking Inside Sasja’s Japandi Interior with the Finn Modular Sofa
This time, we got to take a look inside Sasja and her boyfriend’s home. They have transformed their first shared house into a cozy space with a calm Japandi style, a modern kitchen, and, of course, a modular sofa as the stunning centerpiece of the living area.
First Home, First Choices
Moving into a first home together comes with plenty of decisions and sometimes, that can be a challenge. Sasja and her boyfriend each had their own tastes, but they quickly found a balance that worked for both of them. While scrolling for home inspiration on Instagram, they discovered the By SIDDE seating collection. Her boyfriend initially had his eye on the sofa Moa, but their ultimate favourite became the modular sofa Finn. Placed front and centre in the living room, it set the tone for the rest of their interior.
The Heart of the Home
The spacious extension of their house offered endless possibilities. Using Floorplanner, they carefully mapped out the layout, resulting in a bright and calm seating area where they love spending time together. Sasja describes her interior style as Japandi, soft colours, natural materials, and a serene atmosphere. The modular sofa fits seamlessly into this style, making the living area truly the heart of the home.
Cooking and Living as One
The kitchen also received a modern makeover. Gone were the old tiles, replaced by a sleek new kitchen with an cooking island. The design creates a natural flow between cooking and relaxing, so while meals are being prepared, there’s still plenty of interaction with the seating area. The bar is a favourite spot, helping the kitchen and living space feel perfectly connected.
Creating a True Home
What began as a house full of old tiles has now become a warm, inviting home. With carefully chosen accessories, personal touches, and their little dog Pip, the space feels complete. The Finn sofa remains a favourite, so much that they would choose it again in a future home, perhaps in a different layout. Looking ahead, they dream of adding a sliding door to the garden and even an outdoor sofa like the Sol from By SIDDE.
Sasja’s tip for others: keep your base calm and choose a single accent colour to add personality and atmosphere. This way, your interior stays timeless, yet uniquely yours.
